The Central Illinois 9/12 Project serves as an “umbrella” group for a number of smaller, community-based groups (sometimes also referred to as “chapters”) throughout the central Illinois area. The Central Illinois 9-12 Project’s lead organizer is Erin Tallon, and the group’s assistant organizer is Darla Franklin. Each small group / chapter is each headed by a small group / chapter leader(s). In some cases, towns and communities may have more than one chapter — because as the Central Illinois 9/12 Project grows, we are seeking to start an increasing number of small groups in order to reach out to more people.
Each of the chapters, in general, are studying and learning from the same resource(s) at the same time. For example, nearly all of the chapter groups are currently studying the book The 5,000 Year Leap.
Note that the PRIMARY goal of these chapters is to EDUCATE 9/12′ers regarding the principles of government that were established by our Founding Fathers. No particular political party is endorsed or promoted within these groups. We are and will always remain non-partisan. We are not looking to spend considerable time complaining about political issues; rather, we are focused on presenting truth and developing SOLUTIONS to the problems that are facing our nation today. Continuous or excessive personal attacks against particular political leaders are not needed or desired within the small groups. We already know that we and our country are in difficult times. What we need now is to determine how to go about turning the current situation around.
Please keep in mind that new chapters are in the process of being formed at any given time. If you are a new member, we’d like to encourage you to consider starting a new chapter within the Central Illinois 9/12 Project Group. We will be happy to provide you with all the information and help you may need in order to do so. If you are interested in helping to lead a new chapter — or if you are interested in attending meetings for one of the existing chapters listed below – please email us at info@centralillinois912project.com. (Note to new members: If you are interested in attending a small group, we may be able to direct you to a new small group / chapter that is forming. )
